IVAC 2.0

The key to the sustainable development of employability skills

From 1 October 2021, the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) will fund 60 new projects on virtual university cooperation in the "International Virtual Academic Collaboration (IVAC)" programme. The projects at 46 higher education institutions will be funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) until the end of September 2022.

After the successful approval for the academic year 2020-2021, the IVAC team submitted another application in May 2021 and received funding for new ideas for virtual, international collaboration. Titled "IVAC 2.0: The Key to Sustainable Employability Skills Development", this time the focus is on the acquisition of key competences.

The partial funding requires the university's own contribution to ensure the sustainability and establishment of the measures.

The milestones of IVAC 2.0 include:

  • The development and curricular anchoring of international, digital, collaborative formats in various modules at SRH Berlin;
  • The creation of a cross-university extra-curricular offer with a focus on diversity, intercultural understanding and internationality, in close collaboration with the SRH Centre for Languages and Diversity;
  • The establishment of digital badges as a format for the recognition of acquired key competences.

Funding amount (partial funding): € 49,995

Funding period: 01.10.2021 - 30.09.2022

Christmas in Berlin

This year, the IVAC team from the Global Cooperation Institute has once again come up with a little Advent surprise to sweeten the time until Christmas.

This year's Advent calendar is all about Christmas in Berlin. Whether it's regional delicacies, Berlin craft traditions or locations where you can enjoy a mulled wine together, there's something hidden behind each door to accompany the Advent season in the capital.

As usual: have fun discovering and please don't cheat!

(Santa Claus sees everything!)

We wish you a pleasant time in Advent!

Virtual Culture Events

Intercultural Events from the Global Cooperation Institute

Also in IVAC 2.0, the Centre for Languages and Diversity from the SRH Berlin Global Cooperation Institute (GCI) offers various workshops and webinars on the topics of diversity & culture. These activities aim to strengthen students' intercultural competences and create awareness so that they can develop an open mind.

The programme includes a diversity workshop "How to Counter Hate Speech" and an online cooking course on bread and sustainability.

Collaboration Partner

Participate

Lecturers can contact the IVAC team at any time to discuss possible collaborations. In addition, we send out internally "Das Blaue Blatt", a document in which we present current cooperation requests from colleagues on an international level.

For students, courses will be published by lecturers or the Global Cooperation Institute. Participation in Virtual Exchange programmes depends on the individual offer.

This Project

is funded by the DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service) on behalf of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research.
