LQBTIQ students on university campuses have become more visible than ever. Yet they remain minorities with respect to both their sexual orientation and gender identity and hence target of discrimination. This workshop focuses on supporting these students to gain increasing visibility, improving the campus climate, that is, their feelings of belonging, safety and inclusion, as well as effectively protecting them against bullying, harassment and hate crimes in classrooms and other learning contexts. Good practices for establishing an inclusive community will be highlighted.

This is a workshop in cooperation with the SRH Career Service Center. Registration will be possible next week (from 6 June) on the Career Service Center platform.

Just like every culture, the university culture also has its own codes of behaviour, style of communication and expectations of conduct. In this workshop, students will learn the basic pillars of successful communication within the university culture of the SRH Berlin. By doing so, students will acquire useful tools to understand this new environment, avoid cultural misunderstandings and enjoy their university life.
