About me

For almost a decade, until 2005, Prof. Dr. Conrad Heberling was Director of Marketing and Corporate Communications at the Munich-based television broadcaster RTLzwei, as well as CEO of the ad sales subsidiary El Cartel Media. The era was characterized by innovative and controversial productions, such as the first season of the real-life format "Big Brother" in 2000 and the German launch of music formats such as "Popstars" ("No Angels") and "The Dome” and Japanese animé series.

Conrad Heberling became CEO of Dori Media Group in Zurich, today, format advisor for e.g. "Sommerhaus der Stars" on RTL. With BURDA Heberling founded AUSTRIA 9 TV in 2007. He then served as CEO of the finance and business TV channel DAF Deutsches Anleger Fernsehen until 2015.

In 2012, he was appointed Professor of Marketing and Market Research at the Film University Babelsberg. Heberling also teaches media and platform economics, social media management, and digital business models.

Heberling is also a board member at the Akademie für Neue Medien in Kulmbach and was awarded the Johann-Georg-August-Wirth Media Prize 2017 for special services to the education and training of new talents in the field of journalism.

For thirteen years, Heberling was Director Corporate Communications, Marketing, Investor Relations and Corporate Spokesperson at AMS AG, a world leader in microelectronics.

Conrad Heberling is a native Canadian, studied communication science (University of Vienna and Southern Illinois University), is jury member (e.g. Cannes Corporate Media & TV Awards) and international award winner (e.g. Rose d'Or).
