Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Programmes at SRH Berlin

Study visits abroad are not always easy to realise - either there is no money, no time, or no incentive.

With Blended Intensive Programmes (BIPs), the Erasmus+ programme offers students and teachers the low-threshold opportunity to realise a study period abroad. Teachers from at least three partner universities jointly design learning units and can thus network academically. Students from the partner universities come together in a course and are offered creative opportunities for international cooperation.

The BIPs focus on short-term mobility (at least 5 days) to the home country of a partner university. The mobility is framed by virtual components, e.g., preparation, monitoring or follow-up of the learning content.

Short-term mobility is financially supported—for students and teachers.

BIPs at the SRH Berlin

In the spring of 2023, SRH Berlin organised a Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) together with the Technical University Ostrava (Czech Republic), the Université de Paris-Est Créteil (France) and the Metropolia University of Applied Scienes (Finland). In the course "Ethical Leadership and Corporate Social Responsibility: Is 1 + 1 = 3?", students from the four partner universities came together to jointly expand their knowledge of ethical leadership, sustainability and corporate social responsibility in different companies, industries, and practices.

After four online sessions, the students from the partner universities came together in Berlin. A week full of joint activities, such as an excursion to the BMW Group Motorradwerk Berlin, crowned the completion of the BIP. The students received 5 ETCS points for the course.
