The event features workshops on a range of technical and business-related topics in the field of Additive Manufacturing (AM) including:

  • The AM design process
  • Managing Innovation when implementing AM
  • Becoming an Entrepreneur in AM and
  • The Impact of AM on Digital Supply Chains

Keynotes from leading personalities in the field of AM will help set the agenda for the symposium.
Arno Held (Managing Partner at AM Ventures) and Christoph Kiener (Principal Key Expert at Siemens) will talk about the opportunities and challenges of additive manufacturing.

The symposium will include virtual networking opportunities and will finish with a round table discussion.

Participation in the Symposium is free and open to all.

The symposium is being held as part of the EU Erasmus Project APTIME (Additive Process Technology Integration with Management and Entrepreneurship) whose main goal is to develop and implement innovative approaches and practices for study programmes in order to fill the EU-wide skills gap in additive manufacturing.

The six universities involved in the project are University of Wolverhampton (UK), ESTIA (FR), SRH Berlin University of Applied Sciences (DE), Fontys (NL), Universidad Rey Juan Carlos (E), Univerza v Ljubljani (SI).
