You want to be a heroine or a hero and make the world a little bit better? Are you looking for a meaningful occupation and do you enjoy sports? If you would like to be a part of a sworn team, you have come to the right place! We - the Local Organizing Committee (LOC) of the Special Olympics World Games Berlin 2023 - are looking for people like you! Together with you, we want to create an exciting sporting event that will make history.
As organizers of the world's largest inclusive sports event for people with and without intellectual disabilities, we expect about 7,000 athletes and unified partners from 170 countries in Berlin from June 17 to 24, 2023. With the Special Olympics World Games, we are sending a global signal: Our goal is to make a sustainable contribution to an inclusive society with and after hosting the World Games and to achieve a rethinking in people's minds. With heart and hand, we are committed to opening sports clubs more to people with intellectual disabilities and to further promoting sports in organizations for people with disabilities.
